This courtesy meeting, held at the High Commission in London, was hosted by Uganda’s High Commissioner to the UK, Ambassador Nimisha Madhvani.
During the meeting, officials from UTB and embassy staff discussed and finalised logistical arrangements, aligned promotional strategies and strengthened coordination between UTB, the private sector and the High Commission.
The discussions also emphasised presenting Uganda under the campaign “Explore Uganda – The Pearl of Africa.”
Some of the key items reviewed by the teams included the stand layout, engagement with media, and the scheduling of networking events during the much-coveted trade show.
Also considered was a destination-training session aimed at showcasing Uganda’s tourism attractions, emerging investment opportunities and efforts to boost arrivals from the UK and European markets.
High Commissioner Madhvani praised UTB and the private sector for their efforts to raise Uganda’s international tourism profile, and re-affirmed the embassy’s support ahead of the event.
The upcoming WTM London event represents a major opportunity for Uganda to underscore its ambition to be a premier destination for nature, culture, adventure and investment.
